What would Christmas be without poinsettias? Even worse, what would Christmas be without liquid poinsettias?
Fear not - we are here to save the season!
There are several variations for the poinsettia cocktail; our favorite one is based on Emmeril Lagasse's version as adapted by our friend Flyroe.
Here's what you need (serves 4):
• 4 red wine glasses
• 1 cup vodka
• 1 cup dry or brut sparkling wine
• 2 cups cranberry juice
• 4 thin strips of orange peel
• Crushed ice
Combine the vodka and the cranberry juice, add some crushed ice to chill, mix and pour into four red wine glasses, then top of with the sparkling wine. Stir, twist the orange peels over the glasses and place them in the drinks. Add a few cranberries on a straw if you like - voilá. Season saved!
